I’m tired of faking that I’m elated to go about my day
It keeps me up thinking it’s not enough, what I’ve put on the paper that day
I try to tell myself it’s alright
I set this car on fire to make light
29
I’ll be all right
29
I’ll be just fine
Yeah
Woah I’m stressed out
Try to get out of bed and just get dressed now
Anxiety the great killer of sleep
As I try to navigate the things that I can’t reach
And I can’t seem to beat
I try to tell myself it’s alright
I set a spark outside to see fire
29
I’ll be all right
29
I’ll be just fine
Watch this movie of my life and I wish it wasn’t mine
But maybe you could save me
Alright, alright, alright
I’ll set this car on fire to make light
Alright, alright, alright
I set a spark outside to see fire
29
And I’m still alive
And everything is fine
Everything is fine
And everything is fine
Everything is fine
Rewrite the movie of my life with an ending that I like
And maybe I can save me

Cigarette Break

We used to drive around in your mom’s car
You crashed it now
We used to get day drunk and you lasted yeah
If you name a location I will be there yeah
The best damn cigarette break we ever had
I would pick you up from the restaurant
Drive out to Surfside beach and jump in with our clothes on
Then you got undressed in the parking lot
It’s still my favorite spot
The best damn cigarette break we ever had
Smoking your Parliament Light and swearing it’s the last
You used to call me to laugh now you’re calling a cab
The best damn cigarette break we ever had
Can’t take that back
No you can’t take that back or take that
You used to call me to laugh now you’re calling a cab
The best damn cigarette break we ever had
The best damn cigarette break we ever had
Smoking your Parliament Light and swearing it’s the last
You used to call me to laugh now you’re calling a cab
The best damn cigarette break we ever had

Hungover You

We rolled up quick to this midtown hit
My man Mike knows how to throw a party
And it feels legit and the drinks are sick
Still you don’t want to talk about it
Want to thank you
For being you
Can we stay 'til two in this Boston room
And act like there’s no tomorrow
Can you play that one she said
It’s my favorite song
Can we drink in the dark
Never get hungover you
Can you turn it up she said
Because it’s stuck in my head
Can we drink in the dark
Never get hungover you
Well we’re going out late and we’re sleeping in babe
But you don’t have to catch a headache
I think that it’s safe to say we’re okay
Because the record has made quite some progress
Want to thank you for being you
While we’re up 'til two in this basement room
Trying to put ourselves in your headphones
Can you play that one she said
It’s my favorite song
Can we drink in the dark
Never get hungover you
Can you turn it up she said
Because it’s stuck in my head
Can we drink in the dark
Never get hungover you
It was the basement floor that made you
And all those days that I remember
If I face forward I might just lose them all
So count it off
Can you play that one she said
It’s my favorite song
Can we drink in the dark
Never get hungover you
Can you turn it up she said
Because it’s stuck in my head
Can we drink in the dark
Never get hungover you
And on and on and on
On and on and on
And on and on and on

Outside The Null Field

I’ve been working on my anger
I’ve been pacing back and forth
I thought by now that I’d be further
I keep it locked beneath the floor
I can’t escape the thoughts in my own head
Let’s call it off, engage the backup plan
Maybe just a gin and tonic
Can you just pour another
I’ve diagnosed the man in glass, he looks like a decoy
Developed some bad habits I’m not looking to destroy
Yeah
I can’t escape the thoughts in my own head
Let’s call it off, engage the backup plan
Maybe just a gin and tonic
Make it just a little stronger
Watch the threads fray
All the blood drains
I can’t escape the thoughts in my own head
Let’s call it off, engage the backup plan
Maybe just a gin and tonic
Can it last a little longer
